rPET OR RECYCLED POLYESTER, THE SECOND LIFE OF PET BOTTLES.

Recycled PET, rPET or recycled polyester is a material obtained by recycling waste materials after a recycling process that does not involve the extraction of oil. It comes mostly from the recycling of PET bottles and, to a lesser extent, from polyester industrial waste or clothing waste.
Recycled polyester is very resistant, both to high temperatures and to wear and tear. It is flexible and waterproof and is the most recycled plastic in the world, reducing the production of plastic packaging. Given the tonnes and tonnes of PET waste that exist today, recycling this plastic is vital for the planet.
